CHIESA DI SS. SALVATORE E TORRE BELVEDERE
La chiesa (fine XVIII-inizi XIX sec.), il cui prospetto lineare e austero testimonia il passaggio dal gusto tardo barocco a quello neoclassico, fu commissionata dalla badessa Isabella Rau della Ferla e fa parte del più illustre complesso monastico femminile netino.
Sul lato orientale dell’ex monastero benedettino, tra le finestre chiuse dalle caratteristiche "gelosie" (grate panciute in ferro battuto), si erge la Torre del Belvedere, da cui si può godere del panorama della città.

CHURCH OF SS. SALVATORE AND BELVEDERE TOWER
The church (late 18th - early 19th century), whose linear and austere façade testifies to the transition from the late Baroque to the neoclassical style, was commissioned by the abbess Isabella Rau della Ferla and is part of the most illustrious female monastic complex in Noto.
On the eastern side of the former Benedictine nunnery, among the windows closed by the characteristic "jealousies" (curved wrought iron railings), stands the Belvedere Tower with its panoramic viewpoint of the city.

The city of Noto and several other cities in the Val di Noto region (southeast Sicily), were recognized as a World Heritage Site in 2002 mainly because of the late Baroque style that characterizes many of their sites.

The Catholic church established at the end of the 18th century was also used as a Benedictine monastery.
