Poet, writer and translator,
Bride of the Israel Prize for Literature
Her first book of poems, "The Love of the Golden Apple," was published when she was only 23 years old. "I think there is no audience of poetry readers in the country," she said when the book was published, "most people do not need poetry." Despite this the book became a bestseller and received rave reviews.
Her poems have been translated into 26 languages, including Vietnamese, Catalan, Arabic, Portuguese and Finnish and she has won many literary awards.
Her tumultuous soul is also reflected in her songs. While national poetry was mostly written in Israel, Ravikovitch made a sensitive, personal, and private voice.
In Tel Aviv-Yafo, Ramla, Herzliya, Rosh HaAyin, Mazkeret Batya, Afula and Yavne, streets are named after Ravikovitch.
The sculptor Yigael Tumarkin dedicated the outdoor sculpture "The Middle Pillar" to her

Our streets have a special charm.
They reflect history and a culture of values and heritage.
As part of the week "in full exclusion" we will ascend to the miracle of inspiring women who have gained recognition and appreciation by naming a street after their name.
Today, not many streets in the city are named after women, and the municipality is working to rectify the situation: last year, the municipality commemorated more than ten women - artists, creators, social activists, women and spirit, and read about streets and public institutions across the city.
