The other side of the monument was photographed on the same day by the same photographer, and the text by Meir Dizengoff appears on it:
צידה השני של האנדרטה צולם באותו יום על ידי אותו צלם, ועליו מופיע הטקסט של מאיר דיזנגוף:
”יזכירו נא האבות ויעידו לבנים את אשר היה עימנו בעבר הקרוב, יעידו. עליו בטרם נישכח. על חתחתי מוות אשר עברנו אז. בין השטנות והעלילות התורקיות שבאו עלינו בימי המלחמה הנוראים. (מ. דיזנגוף 1931)

[translation]
"Please let the fathers remember and testify to the children what was with us in the recent past, they will testify. About him before we forget. About ways of death that we passed then. Among the satanism and Turkish plots that came upon us during the terrible days of the war. (M. Dizengoff 1931)

Translation of the text on the sign:
[Old maps of Israel and Tel Aviv]

"Jewish Jaffa has been emptied. Tel Aviv has been emptied."
(Y. Luffman, 1918)

The days are the days of the First World War and the British army is approaching - in the south of Israel. The Ottoman government ordered the expulsion of the Jews of Jaffa and Tel Aviv in Nisan 1917, March 28, 1917. The Jews of Jaffa and Tel Aviv, about 7,000 people, were expelled from their homes and emigrated to the north. The period of deportation lasted a year and a half and the situation of the deportees was difficult; they suffered famine and disease and about 1,500 of them died.
In memory of the deportees and in memory of one of the most difficult periods of the Jewish settlement in the Land of Israel
