Born in Berdychiv, Ukraine (1901-1989), he immigrated to Israel in 1914. After graduating from school, he went to study building engineering and architecture in Berlin and Paris. After graduating, he returned to Israel and worked in the Public Works Department of the British Mandate Government. He designed many houses in Tel Aviv and Arab Jaffa, in parallel with his service as an engineering and sabotage officer in the Haganah organization. Was a partner in an architectural firm with Asher Gliberman and Zvi Frankel, and together they designed many buildings.
