The sign is in the house where Yaakov Fichman lived - a poet, writer and translator. Fichman was born in Bălți, Moldova (1881-1958), and came to Eretz Israel in 1912, and in 1919 and from 1925 lived in Israel regularly. He has written over 300 works (books, poems, translations and more). Fichman won the Israel Prize (1957), the Bialik Prize (1953), the Ussishkin Prize for Literature (1947) and other prizes.
