One of the statues in the Tuileries Gardens. The statue, which is 2.17 meters high, was made by Denis Foyatier between 1832-1834. Placed in the Tuileries Gardens in 1836, in 1859 it was sold and removed from the garden, and returned to its current location around the circular basin in 1872.
The statue depicts Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus (519 BC - 430 BC), a Roman soldier and statesman, whose image is a symbol of love for the homeland.
