Bialik School The first elementary school in the city was established in 1937 and was called "Education for children of workers after H.N. Bialik". The building was designed by the architect Joseph Neufeld, who designed other buildings in Kiryat Avoda - the Histadrut neighborhood, including worker dormitories (Bialik and Shenkar streets).
The first class opened in October 1936, in a private house, at 46 Arlozorov Street.
In its first year of operation, only 73 students attended the school. Due to their small number, one teacher taught several classes.
In 1945, a gymnasium was built and a floor was added above the western building. In the 1960s, with the increase in the number of students, the eastern wing was added to the courtyard area, which was previously used for studying agriculture.
Due to the lack of classrooms, the students studied in two shifts (8:00-12:00 and 12:00-16:00).
Today it is used as an elementary school for grades 1-6.
