הבניין תוכנן על ידי אדריכל שלמה גפשטיין בשנות ה-30 של המאה העשרים והוקם באזור תכנית גדס בחלק מבלוק מגורים שהקיף את בית החרושת ההיסטורי ללבני סילקט (כיום באתר זה בית כלל). המבנה הוכרז לשימור מתוקף תכנית השימור וממוקם באזור ההכרזה כאתר מורשת תרבות עולמית על ידי אונסק"ו.
המבנה תוכנן כבית דירות בסגנון בנלאומי טיפוסי ומתאפיין בעקרונות אדריכליים של חלוקה בנפחי בנייה א-סמטריים מוסטים המודגשים באלמנטים של מרפסות בולטות וחלונות סרט אופקיים.
בשנים 2014-2015 נעשו עבודות שיקום ושימור, אשר כללו תוספת חניון תת קרקעי והוספת קומה אחת למבנה המקורי, בתכנון האדריכל נאור מימר ובביצוע יזמי הפרויקט מיכאל ומאיה כהן.

The building was designed by architect Shlomo Gepstein in the 1930s and was built in the zone of the Geddes plan, as part of a residential block that surrounded the historic silicate brick factory (now the site of Beit Clal). The building was listed for preservation during the preservation plan and is located within the UNESCO declared area.
The building was designed as a residential apartment building in the typical international style that is characterized by the architectural principles of division in hidden building spaces that are emphasized by elements such as prominent balconies and horizontal ribbon windows.
During 2014-2015, the refurbishment work, which included building an extra floor and an underground parking, was carried out by Architect Naor Mimar and by project promoters Michael and Maya Cohen.

خطط المهندس المعماري شلومو جوفشتاين المبنى في سنوات الثلاثينات من القرن العشرين ، وأقيم في منطقة برنامج مخطط العين " جلس " كجزء من مجمع سكني أحاط المصنع التاريخي لطوب سيليكات ( يتواجد بيت كل حالياً في هذا الموقع ) . أعلن عن المبنى للصيانة والحفاظ عليه بحكم برنامج الحفاظ على المباني ويقع في منطقة الإعلان كموقع تراث عالمي من قبل اليونسكو خطط الميني كمنزل شقق سكنية على الطراز الدولي النموذجي ويتميز بمبادئ هندسة معمارية لتقسيم الأحجام المنحرفة في البناء والتي يتم إبرازها بعناصر من الشرفات البارزة وشريط من النوافذ الأفقية . جرت أشغال ترميم وصيانة في الأعوام ۲۰۱4 - ۲۰۱۵ ، شملت إضافة موقف تحت الأرض وإضافة طابق واحد للمبنى الأصلي ، بتخطيط المهندس المعماري نزور ميمر ، وتنفيذ المبادرين للمشروع ميخال ومايا كوهن .
