Born in Odessa, Ukraine (1882-1961), immigrated to Israel in 1924. He studied at the Academy of Architecture in St. Petersburg and there qualified as an architect. In addition, he was involved in newspaper writing from an early age. In Israel, he designed apartments mainly in the Tel Aviv area, including the Allenby cinema building. He also continued to write in Israel, as well as being president of the Jabotinsky Institute, and while in Russia the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Razzveit" (The Dawn)
