Born in Buchach, Galicia (Ukraine) (1887-1971), he immigrated to Israel in 1920. Tischler designed many houses in the Tel Aviv area (several hundred houses), and was also responsible for planning newly established neighborhoods: the APC (The Anglo – Palestine Co) Employees’ neighborhood (Sheffer Lane) and the Neve Sha’anan neighborhood. In addition to planning homes and neighborhoods, he dealt with master plans for settlement in Eretz Israel, and was one of the founders of the Association of Engineers and Architects in Eretz Israel.
