THE IMPRESARIO AND PRODUCER AVRAHAM DESHE (PASHANEL) WORKED IN THIS HOUSE
The sign is at the entrance of the house where was the production office of Avraham Deshe (Pashanel), promoter and producer, born in Ramat Gan, Israel (1926-2004). Deshe that transposed the name in which he was born (Greenberg), was called Pashanel (or Pasha), a nickname given to him during his service in the British Army, in the 1940s. After years of working as a taxi driver, because of his acquaintance with many actors, he was offered to manage the HaZira Theater, which he turned into a popular and successful theater. Later he established a promotion and production office that was responsible for popular productions, among them: HaGashash HaHiver, Batzal Yarok, The Roosters and more. Won the Israel Theater Award for Lifetime Achievement (2002)
Unlike other signs, this sign does not feature the emblem of the city of Tel Aviv, but according to the signs format it seems that it belongs to a series commemorating artists who lived in Tel Aviv
