The sign is on the wall of the building where they lived: Shlomo Tanai - poet, writer and translator, born in Bielsko-Biała, Poland (1919-2000), immigrated to Israel in 1929. He was a journalist at Haaretz newspaper. Wrote poems and books. Won the Bialik Award (1985) and other awards.
Tirtza Tanny - painter and illustrator, born in the Netherlands (1920-2009), immigrated to Israel in 1922. She mainly illustrated books, including the books of her husband Shlomo Tanny . Won the Yatziv award for childrens literature (1956)
