The sign is on the wall of the house where Avot Yeshurun lived - a poet, born in Niskhish, Ukraine (1904-1992) under the name Yehiel Perlmutter, immigrated to Israel in 1925.
He wrote many poems, and after a while he began to use the pen name Avot Yeshurun in his poems, a name that later became his official name.
Winner of the Israel Prize for Literature and Poetry (1992), the Brenner Prize (1967) and the Bialik Prize (1979)
