The statue in which the image of Claude Bernard (1813-1878) is embodied, the man who is considered the father of the scientific method in medical research and hormone research. The statue is in front of the Collège de France building, the research institution where Bernard passed.
The statue was made by Raymond Couvègnes and inaugurated in 1946
