The city of Ragusa and several other cities in the Val di Noto region (southeast Sicily), were recognized as a World Heritage Site in 2002 mainly because of the late Baroque style that characterizes many of their sites.
The house built in the 20th century is currently used as a student dormitory of the university. It is likely that, although the symbol of a world heritage site appears on the sign, this house is not included in the list of baroque style houses, but "won" the title because of the city and the uniform format of the signs.
The number that appears on the sign (13) is a number that appears on all signs in the city (maps, direction signs), and indicates this place Click for sign's details
