Translation of the text on the sign:
A stone from a wall will cry out!
At the beginning of the War of Independence, on the 21st of Iyer 1948, May 30, 1948, at 10:00 in the morning, an alarm was sounded in Kibbutz Merhavia. An Iraqi plane dropped bombs on the kibbutz.
Tsilka, the nanny of the "Shibolt" group, felt like gathering the children who were playing in the yard to a shelter. She didn’t have enough time. The shrapnel of the bomb got her here in this place.
One of the fragments left a scar in the wall stone here above.
Moshe Man, who fought in those days in the Jordan Valley, and three orphaned children remained.
