One of the statues in the Tuileries Gardens.
The statue, which is 2.86 meters high, was made by Jean-Baptiste Hugues, initially in a plaster sculpture intended for display in 1905 at the Salon of the Society of French Artists. The marble statue was displayed in 1907 in the same Salon .
