TERME EN MARBRE, 1712, PLACÉ AUX TUILERIES EN 1722; EXPOSÉ AU MUSÉE DU LOUVRE
One of the statues in the Tuileries Gardens. The statue, made by Jean Raon after a work by François Laspingola, was initially intended in 1699 to be placed in the Palace of Versailles. It was never placed there, and in 1712 it was moved from an antique store where it was to the Tuileries Gardens. In 1993 it was transferred to the Louvre, and a copy was placed in its place.
