Translation of the text on the sign:
IN MEMORY OF THE CHILDREN OF THIS NURSERY SCHOOL, OF THE STUDENTS OF THE COMMUNAL SCHOOL AND OF THE ADDITIONAL COURSE FOR BOYS IN PLACE DES VOSGES, DEPORTED FROM 1942 TO 1944 BECAUSE THEY WERE BORN JEWS, INNOCENT VICTIMS OF NAZI BARBARITY WITH THE ACTIVE COMPLICITY OF THE VICHY GOVERNMENT.

MORE THAN 11,400 CHILDREN WERE DEPORTED FROM FRANCE OF WHICH MORE THAN 500 LIVED IN THE 4TH ARRONDISSEMENT.

THEY WERE EXTERMINATED IN THE DEATH CAMPS.
