Comments:
The sign is on the wall of the house where Victor Hugo (1802-1885) lived between the years (1832-1848). Victor Hugo, a writer and poet, who wrote, among other things, "Les Misérables" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", was one of the greatest French writers.
The house located in the Place des Vosges, where he wrote part of "Les Misérables" is today used as a museum commemorating the writer.
