The first water line to the Negev - 1947
[waterline map]

This is where the route of the first water line to the Negev, established by the "Mekorot" company in 1947, passed.
The two water lines, the eastern and the western, with a total length of about 200 km, were deployed within a few months, in an engineering operation and a tremendous human effort, and were the lifeblood of the Negev settlements in the years preceding the establishment of the state and during the War of Independence. You are invited to tour the sites that were trained and controlled along the route of the lines the water.
