The first kindergarten for the National Heritage Museum In this building that was established in the fifties of the last century, the first kindergarten of Kibbutz Tse’elim was located. The first children of the kibbutz grew up and were educated there as part of the shared accommodation of those days. In addition to the kindergarten’s activity rooms, there were six sleeping rooms. The shared accommodation was stopped in Tse’elim in 1982 and from then until 2005 the "Tamar building" was used as a kindergarten.
In 2010, work began on the site to establish the "Iron Moulding Heritage" museum, which opened in August 2018. The museum displays the metal works of the Jerusalem workshop for emblems and medals of the Kretchamer family (1906-2003): thousands of items that illustrate and recount the period of the Turks and The first "Bezalel", the mandate and the struggle for its revival, and the symbols, medals and coins of the IDF and the state. The founder of the museum and the curator is Beaz Karchamer, a member of Kibbutz Tze’elim and the grandson of the founder of the workshop in Jerusalem about 100 years earlier.
Established with funding from the "Landmarks" heritage program at the Jerusalem and Heritage Ministry.
With the assistance of the Eshkol Regional Council, Kibbutz Tzalim and the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel.
