בית שלם לוריג תוכנן בשנת 1935 ע"י אדריכל אריה כהן בסגנון הבינלאומי כחלק ממקבץ של שלושה מבנים שנבנו בסגנון זה ובתכנון אותו האדריכל בפינת הרחובות הגר"א - איילת השחר - ראש פינה. הוא תוכנן ונבנה ע"י היזם יצחק שלם וב- 1936 נמכר למשפחת לוריג. בבניין האיקוני יש מרכיבים רבים האופיניים לסגנון הבינלאומי התל אביבי: חזית חופשית, א-סימטריה, המנעות מקישוטים שאינם פונקציונלים, מרפסות ושימוש באלמנטים מווסתי אקלים. הבניין עומד היום בראש מצוק כורכר, שנוצר עקב שינויים בכבישים ובפסי הרכבת העוברים בסמוך. המבנה הוכרז לשימור מתוקף תב"ע 2650 בי.
המבנה שומר בשנת 2022 ע"י מסטר-גל אדריכלים ואדריכלית מירב סודאי.

The Shalem Lorig House, at 28 Rosh Pina Street, (at the intersection of HaGr’a and Ayelet Hashahar streets), was designed in 1935 by architect Arie Cohen in the International Style as part of a collection of three buildings designed by the same architect and built in this style. It was planned and built by the developer Yitzhak Shalem and in 1936 was sold to the Lorig family. The iconic building has many elements typical of Tel Aviv’s international style: a free facade, asymmetry, avoidance of non-functional decorations, balconies and the use of climate-regulating elements. The building today stands at the top of a "kurkar" (quartz sandstone) cliff, formed due to construction of nearby roads and railway tracks.
The building was declared for preservation pursuant to Master Plan 2650B and will be preserved in 2022 by Mester-Gal Architects and architect Meirav Sudai.

خطط المهندس المعماري أرييه كوهين بيت شالم لوريج عام ١٩٣٥ على الطراز الدولي كقسم من مجمع ثلاثة مبان بنيت على هذا الطراز وخططها نفس المهندس المعماري في زاوية ملتقى الشوارع "هغارا" - "أيليت هشاحر" - "روش پينا". خططه وبناه المبادر يتسحاق شالم وعلم ١٩٣٦ تم بيعه لعاقلة لوريج. يحتوي المبنى الأيقوني على العديد من العناصر النموذجية لطراز تل أبيب الدولي: واجهة حرة، تصميم غير متماثل، تجنب الزخارف التي لا وظيفة لها، الشرفات واستعمال العناصر الموازنة للمناخ. يقع المبنى اليوم على قمة جرف كركار والذي تكون بسبب التغييرات في الشوارع ومسار سكة الحديد التي تمر بجانبه. أعلن عن المبنى للصيانة والحفاظ عليه بحكم خطة مبنى المدينة ٢٦٥٠ ب. تمت صيانة المبنى عام ٢٠٢٢ من قبل ماستر - غال مهندسون معماريون والمهندسة المعمارية ميراث سوداي.
