Translation of the text on the sign:
Symbol of Moshav Beit Halevi
The water well
In the early days of the moshav, the founders suffered from a severe water shortage. With carts loaded with barrels, the water was brought from the surrounding settlements. Later, a water line with a diameter of 1 zul was stretched from the orchards to the east of the moshav, but it was not enough. In 1946 a well was dug in the area of the moshav. The well provided water for two years until it ran dry. In 1948, this well called the "first well" was dug. This supplied water until the early sixties at a capacity of 100 mq.
