The monument glorifies the residents of the neighborhood who enlisted in the American army to fight in the First World War.
The bronze monument was made by Philip Martiny, and was placed in 1921. In the monument you can see an infantry soldier, during the battle, a gun in one hand and the other hand holding the flag of the United States.
