One of the plaques placed in Greenwich Village where St. Vincent’s Medical Center was located between 1948-2010. The plates were placed in 2010 with the closing of the center, and they show medical events in which the center was involved.
Today, there is the New York Memorial Park for victims of the AIDS disease
The plaque is dedicated to AIDS patients, for whom the hospital was the first on the East Coast to open a special wing.
