One of the plaques placed in Greenwich Village where St. Vincent’s Medical Center was located between 1948-2010. The plates were placed in 2010 with the closing of the center, and they show medical events in which the center was involved.
Today, there is the New York Memorial Park for victims of the AIDS disease
The sign is dedicated to the hospital’s treatment of the victims of the fire at the Triangle shirt factory, a fire in which 146 Jewish and Italian immigrant workers perished.
