The statue is located in Parliament Square, and is one of the 12 statues surrounding the square.

Benjamin Disraeli (the 1st Earl of Beaconsfield) appears in the statue. Disraeli served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for two terms. He was also a writer who authored many books.

The bronze statue was made by Mario Raggi and placed in the square in 1883
