NELSON MANDELA

The statue is located in Parliament Square, and is one of the 12 statues surrounding the square.

The statue shows the man who was the South African freedom fighter, who after his war against the apartheid regime, and a long imprisonment, led to the abolition of racial discrimination. Served as President of South Africa. Thanks to his actions he won the Nobel Peace Prize (1993)
