From Orvion - to the Peoples House Already in the first years of the establishment of the village, a magnificent tradition of social and cultural events developed.
The founders of the village attached great importance to the subject, and passed on this tradition to future generations as well.
The member Yosef Feuchtwanger was among the founders of the cultural life in the village.
The first culture house was in a horse-stable common to the people of the village, which was managed by the member Max Koplowitz.
When the stable finished its duty. The building was converted into a cultural center - "Orvion". The building stood next to todays Bnei Akiva branch. Later he moved to a shack in the school yard, and from there, in 1968, he moved to the current building.
This is how the story of Beit Haam unfolded.
Reincarnation of culture
(From one of the Independence Day operas, to the tune of "Gentlemen, history returns")
1. There was then a neat stable / the horses there stood in a row / it became a hall of glory / for films, plays and poetry
2. And the grandmother tells the grandson / I will never forget this / how the company sat there in silence / and the smell wafted through the hall
3. A meeting of friends then decided / the end came then for the Orvion / and instead of Orvion you were not mistaken / at the school the shelter was built
4. But in the shack, alas, the rain is leaking / and in general, progress is necessary / so build a peoples house and a basement / and here we will be the culture hall.
