The sign is one of a series of signs marking the early days of Kfar Haroeh.
The cold house that today serves as the village museum was photographed that day by the same photographer

The incarnation of the cold store This special building, with thick walls for insulation, was built in 1944 as a cold storage for the purpose of preserving agricultural produce that was sent abroad, and with the idea of a long-term storage solution in case the Second World War reaches the borders of the Land of Israel.
At the end of the use of the cold store, the building was converted into an egg warehouse headed by the member Asher Lizarowitz. The egg warehouse was until then located in the tin shed adjacent to the old consumer building.
The villagers brought the eggs from their coops to the egg warehouse after they were weighed and sorted. The price of an egg in those days was 3-4 mil. The eggs were sold to Beit Yitzhak, from where they were sold to stores across the country.
After the establishment of the state, the weapons warehouse was moved from the water tower to the southeast room of the building.
From this armory the guns were distributed to the guards every night. The guarding took place in turns between the village people. The first security coordinators in the village were Naftali Zaira followed by Yitzhak Licht.
Today, the village museum is located in this building.
In the armory room there is still a small window with the original grill.
