The sign is on the wall of the building where they lived: Tmimah Yudelevitch - theater actress, born in Lida, Belarus (1892-1967), immigrated to Israel in 1928. Already in 1918, Tmimah went to Moscow, where she joined the "Habima" theater. Tmimah immigrated to Israel together with other "Habima" actors, and was one of the first actors in the "Habima" theater in Israel.
Fany Lubitsch - theater actress and acting teacher, born in Kharkiv, Ukraine (1903-1988), immigrated to Israel in 1928. Already in 1921, Fanny went to Moscow, where she joined the "Habima" theater. Fany immigrated to Israel together with other "Habima" actors, and was one of the first actors in the "Habima" theater in Israel. She managed the acting school of the "Habima" theater and taught there and in other places.
The house they lived in was part of the workers dormitories, buildings built at the initiative of the Histadrut, built in the international style and inhabited by Histadrut activists and artists. The area was also called the "Habima neighborhood" because of the large number of actors who lived in the area.
