Vitex agnus-castus
The second face of the cube] 24 Chaste tree Vitex agnus-castus
Natural range: Mediterranean basin, S.W. Asia, Israel

[הפאה השלישית של הקוביה] [The third face of the cube] [שאלה] הבט באחד העלים: כיצד תתאר את צורתו?
[a question] Look at a leaf of this tree: how would you describe its shape?
[The Answer to the question] This tree’s leaves are compound, consisting usually of 5 separate, small "leaflets," all arising from the same leaf stalk. They resemble a hand with its fingers. These leaflets and stalk form an integral structure that is born, grows, dies, and falls as a single unit.
