This fountain erected in memory of Samuel Untermyer 1858-1940 and Minnie Untermyer 1859-1924
The fountain made by the German sculptor Walter Schott was placed in the Conservatory Garden in 1947. In the sculpture that makes up the fountain, 3 maidens are dancing in a circle. The statue is a replica of the original located at Schlitz Castle in Germany.
The fountain was donated by the descendants of lawyer and social activist Samuel Untermyer and his wife.
