משפחת בנימין וסולטנה הלוי
האב, נצר למשפחת רבנים דור אחר דור בירושלים, נמנה עם ראשי העדה הספרדית בעיר ופעל רבות לטובת מוסדות ציבור ומפעלי צדקה. ראב"ד, יו"ר ועד השכונה וגבאי בית הכנסת "אוהל משה". ייסד את בית הזקנים הספרדי, היה תמוך נלהב בתנועה הציונית ונבחר לאסיפת הנבחרים כנציג היהדות הדתית-ציונית וכיהן בה לפיזורה.
משמאל: הרב בנימין הלוי, ילדיו אשר, יעקב ושמחה (נפטרה בילדותה) ורעייתו סולטנה.

The Family of Binyamin and Sultana Halevy
Descended from a long line of rabbis in Jerusalem, he was one of the leaders of the Sephardic community in the city and was very active on behalf of public institutions and charity organizations. President of a rabbinical court, chairman of the Ohel Moshe Quarter Committee, and beadle of the Ohel Moshe Synagogue. Established the Sephardic old age home. An ardent supporter of Zionism; he was elected a member of the Representative Assembly as a reprešentatiye of religious Zionism, serving on it until it was disbanded.
