The memorial site was photographed that day by the same photographer Click for a larger image

The Hulda convoy left Hulda in order to bring supplies to besieged Jerusalem. The convoy stuck in the mud was attacked by Arab forces arriving from Ramla. During the fighting, 22 people were killed. The convoy retreated back to Hulda.
