A large convoy that went out to deliver supplies to Gush Etzion, which was under siege. On its way back near the village of Nabi Daniel, the convoy encountered a number of checkpoints, at the last checkpoint it failed to cross, a battle developed between the convoy members and the residents of the nearby villages. Fifteen members of the convoy were killed in the battle.
