In 1937 he was wounded in the defense of the harvesting workers and when he recovered he continued to patrol the orchards. He was not afraid of dangers and chose to go to dangerous places such as Givat Ada, Bat Shlomo, the lands of Kfar Nordau and near the village of the murderers Masmiyya. On October 5, 1938, he and his friend toured the land of Ahuza A near Rishon Lezion, and the two were attacked by an Arab gang. Avraham ordered his friend, who was married and a father of children, to retreat and he himself made sure to cover his withdrawal. In the exchange of fire, Avraham was hit by three bullets, but despite his severe wounds, he continued to fire until his soul was out. He is buried in the Rishon Lezion cemetery. After the establishment of the State of Israel, the village of Abu Rizk was renamed, from which the gang of murderers left for the village of Arieh in his name. His name was commemorated in a book of remembrance published by the Municipality of Rishon Lezion and in "Zachram Netzach", the book of remembrance for the victims of the national military organization.
