The sign is in the house where Shaul Tchernichovsky lived - poet and translator, born in Mykhailovka, Ukraine (1875-1943), immigrated to Israel in 1931 (before that he visited Israel in 1925). Tschernihovsky was also a doctor, completing his medical studies in Germany and Switzerland. He was one of the greatest poets in Israel, and was also engaged in translating (Iliad and Odyssey).
