The sign is in the house where she lived - Gertrud Kraus - the dance artist, born in Vienna, Austria (1901-1977), immigrated to Israel in 1935.
Before immigrating to Israel, she studied dance, performed in famous dance groups and even opened an independent studio.
The founder of the Israeli Dance Theater, and in fact the pioneer of modern dance in Israel
She won the Israel Prize in the field of dance (1968).

The house on Frug Street is in an area where many artists lived, probably because of the workers’ dormitories (where they lived or were authorized), buildings built at the initiative of the Histadrut, built in the international style and inhabited by Histadrut activists and artists.
According to what is known, Kraus lived in this house the entire time she lived in Israel, where she also established her dance studio.
