העליה היבשתית והאווירית
בנוסף להעפלה דרך היום היו שהעפילו לארץ-ישראל בדרך היבשה. בשנות הארבעים הובילו אנשי "החוליה", לוחמי הפלמ"ח, קבוצות מעפילים מסוריה ומלבנון לגבול הצפון והבריחו אותם ארצה. עולים מעיראק הגיעו במטוסים שנחתו באישון לילה ונוסעיהם הועברו ליישובים קרובים.
בדרכי היבשה והאוויר הגיעו אלפי מעפילים לארץ-ישראל.

Immigration by land and by air
In addition to the illegal immigration by sea, there was also an immigration to the Eretz Israel by land. During the 1940s, the members of the "Chuliya" unit of the Palmach led groups of illegal immigrants from Syria and Lebanon to the northern border and smuggled them into Israel. Iraqi immigrants came at night by airplanes and were transferred to nearby communities.
