The sign is in the place where they lived: Kalman Aharon Bertini - poet, writer and translator. Born in Brichiva, Serbia (1903-1995), immigrated to Israel in 1947. Wrote songs, stories for children and translated many books. Won the Tchernichovsky Prize for Masterpieces and the Itzik Manger Prize for Literary Work in Yiddish.
Gary Bertini - conductor and composer, born in Brichiva, Serbia (1927-2005), immigrated to Israel in 1947. Founded the Rinat Choir, was the musical director of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, composed music for TV series and plays. Winner of the Israel Prize for music (1978), the Italian Music Critics Prize, and other prizes. Son of Kalman Aharon Bertini
