English sculptor who created mainly in stone and bronze. He created many sculptures in the public space, especially of personalities. Known for creating the sculptures on the front of the Bank of England.
Served as President of the Royal Academy of Arts (1956–1966)
A commemorative plaque is found in the house where he lived in London
