The sign is at the entrance to the building where Arik Lavie lived - a singer and theater and film actor, born in Erfurt, Germany, immigrated to Israel in 1936.

As a singer he sang many hundreds of songs, including the well-known song "The Red Rock" which was banned from broadcasting to prevent sneaking into Petra in Jordan.
He also played in many plays and movies.
