The sign is on the wall of the house where he lived - Shimshon Meltzer, born in Tłuste, Ukraine (1909-2000), immigrated to Israel in 1933.
Poet and translator, in Yiddish and Hebrew languages. Won the Tschernihovsky Prize for Translation (1949)
