Many of his paintings were made as black and white drawings. Called "the painter of Tel Aviv" - he often painted the houses of the city of Tel Aviv and the working life in the Land of Israel Won the Dizengoff Prize for the art of painting and sculpture (1938, 1940, 1945-6)
Aviva Uri - painter and printmaker, born in Safed, Israel (1922-1989) She studied art with David Handler whom she later married. Her works have been shown in many exhibitions Won the Dizengoff Prize for the art of painting and sculpture (1952)
