לפנינו האנדרטה למייסדי תל-אביב שהוקמה בשנת 1949 לציון 40 שנה לייסוד העיר.

במקום הזה ממש נערכה הגרלת המגרשים ההיסטורית ביום ייסודה של תל-אביב, ואחרי ייסוד העיר הוקם כאן בית הוועד ומגדל מים.

על האנדרטה חקוקים שמות מייסדי העיר, ותבליט המציג שלבים בהתפתחותה.

משני צִדי האנדרטה מתנוסס סמל העיר ההיסטורי, שעיצב נחום גוטמן. במרכזו של הסמל מגדלור, אשר לדברי האמן מסמל את הייעוד שמייסדי תל-אביב הועידו לעיר: להיות "שער לעלייה ומאור לגולה".

The Tel Aviv Founders Monument
This monument was installed in 1949 In honor of the city’s 40th anniversary on the site of the offices of the neighborhood committee and the first water tower.
The monument depicts the city’s development and also features its original logo, which was designed by Nahum Gutman.
The logo features a unique icon - a lighthouse, which according to Gutman symbolized the aspirations of the city’s founders: that Tel Aviv would be a "Gateway for Immigrants and a Light Unto the Nations."

النصب التذكاري لمؤسسي مدينة تل أبيب
أقيم هذا النصب إحياء لذكرى مؤسسي مدينة تل أبيب في عام 1949 بمناسبة مرور 40 عاماً على إقامة ’ المدينة على موقع مكاتب لجنة الحي وأول برج مياه . إنه يحكي تطور . المدينة بالإضافة إلى إبراز شعارها " الأصلي ، الذي تم تصميمه من قبل ناحوم غوتمان . يشمل الشعار رمزاً " خاصاً وهو منارة ترمز حسب أقوال غوتمان إلى الغاية من إقامة المدينة بنظر مؤسسيها وهي أن تشكل " بوابة للهجرة ومنارة للجاليات اليهودية في الشتات "
