The sign is on the wall of the house where the French writer François Anatole Thibault, known by the pen name Anatole France (1844-1924), lived as a child. France is a Nobel Prize laureate for literature (1921), a knight of the French Legion of Honor. A fighter for human rights, for the separation of religion from the state and more.
