Comments:
In 2013, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the London Underground, the artist Mark Wallinger was asked as part of the "Art on the Underground" project to create a work that would commemorate this event. Wallinger prepared a picture of a Labyrinth for each of the 270 subway stations. In the piece, a Labyrinth is shown under which a red X marks the starting point. Each of the works is different in color, in the background, but they all have the same motif.
At the bottom of the piece is the serial number, so at the Belsize Park station photo number 179 of the 270 photos is placed.
