Comments:
The Cathedral of Taormina was built in the 13th century AD. It is a Catholic church dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Bari.

In one of the alcoves of the cathedral, the "processional cross" was placed at the same time as it was placed in exotic places in the world (the Poles, Mont Blanc and more) Click for sign's details

The cathedral was photographed on the same day Click for a larger image

The main church door was built in 1636 (as indicated on the sign) and is surrounded by 22 reliefs of Christian saints
The door was photographed that day Click for a larger image
